Volkswagen's Beetle

Volkswagen's Beetle is now launced in india.

The basic form of the New Beetle is untouchable. That is why the designers have perfected the details of the two-door front-wheel drive. But they have done this with consistency: The front bumpers have received a radiator grille that gives it a sportier look and the synthetic fenders have been given a sharper contour. The lights have also been redesigned. The clear-glass headlights are even more defined with their oval shape and the front blinkers have been made narrower. The white-in-red circle has given the backlights an optical change. The Volkswagen hood ornaments on the front and back have also been updated.

VERSIONS / ENGINES

One for all: the New Beetle is still available in a basic version that can be customized through various features and packages. In the new model year, colors with imaginative names like "Salsa Red" or "Gecko Green" offer a glimpse of the fresh colors and paints. Altogether, 15 colors will be available for the New Beetle. In addition, the interior of the New Beetle has new fabric designs available in Black, Flannel Grey, Cream, Mellow Yellow and Aquarius Blue. The interior has also been upgraded through chrome framing on the instrument cluster and air vents. The obligatory flower vase - a real classic - has remained untouched.

Overview of petrol engines

1.4 with 55 kW / 75 PS: A modern four-valve engine with 55 kW / 75 PS is the base motor for the New Beetle which is also offered in the Golf. In 14.6 seconds, it accelerates to 100 km/h; its maximum speed is 161 km/h. The overall consumption is exceptionally low with only 7.0 liters for every 100 kilometers.

1.6 with 75 kW / 102 PS: The next stronger gas fuel engine with 75 kW / 102 PS and 1.6 liter cubic capacity has a controlled intake manifold as well as roller levers and displays a harmonious performance development at low level fuel consumption. The engine transmits its power through a five-gear transmission, alternatively available as a four-gear automatic transmission. The stick shift version reaches a maximum speed of 179 km/h and on average uses 7.5 liters of fuel every 100 kilometers.

2.0 with 85 kW / 115 PS: Even more dynamic is the established 2.0 liter engine. It delivers 85 kW / 115 PS and, on request, can also be ordered with an automatic transmission. The maximum speed for the stick shift model is 185 km/h. The average fuel consumption is 8.7 liters.

1.8 with 110 kW / 150 PS: The New Beetle 1.8 T was positioned above the New Beetle 2.0. Its four-cylinder turbo engine brings a dynamic 110 kW / 150 PS. In this version the New Beetle is 203 km/h fast. An exterior characteristic of the sporty model is a rear spoiler that automatically extends or retracts depending on the speed of the vehicle. An automatic transmission is available on request for the 1.8 T. The sporty New Beetle uses 8.1 liters every 100 kilometers when in combined use.

Overview of diesel engines

1.9 TDI with 77 kW / 105 PS: Since the end of 2001, there is also a TDI engine with pump-valve injection combined with a five-gear transmission available. For the 2006 model, this was expanded to 77 kW / 105 PS. The torque strong diesel engine (240 Newton meters at 1,800 rpm) provides the New Beetle with good performance (maximum speed 178 km/h) and a very low fuel consumption of only 5.1 liters for every 100 kilometers.

Trendy sports 2010 Ford Fusion

The Fusion’s powertrain lineup has been completely overhauled for 2010 and offers more choices, starting with the four-banger, now enlarged to 2.5 liters from 2.3 and blessed with 15 more hp and 16 additional lb-ft of torque for a total of 175 hp and 172 lb-ft. The manual and automatic transmissions that mate to the four-cylinder each have an additional forward gear this year, too, for a total of six. In spite of its frugal intentions—Ford claims 33 mpg on the highway, but had no figures for city-cycle mpg at the time of this writing—we found the motor to be willing, revvy, and smooth. Ultimate acceleration is on the lazy side of adequate, but the midrange punch is quite satisfying. Ford claims a 0–60 time of 9.5 seconds, but that was the pokey time we recorded in a 2.3-liter car with a five-speed automatic. Additionally, a 2.3-liter Fusion with a five-speed manual was clocked at 8.1 seconds to 60, so we expect the 2010 model to handily outpace Ford’s estimates.

Audi Sportback

The technology of the Audi Sportback concept is markedly futuristic. Power is provided by the world's cleanest diesel technology: the 3.0-liter V6 TDI clean diesel almost completely eliminates nitrogen oxides. This engine already meets the emissions limits of all 50 U.S. states and the EU6 standard scheduled to take effect in 2014. And numerous measures to ensure top efficiency mean that the Audi Sportback concept is expected to achieve impressive fuel consumption figures of 5.9 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers (39.87 US mpg).

Driving dynamics in a new guise - the idea is very Trendy

Since its introduction in 2004, the concept of the Sportback has established itself in the compact class. The success of the Audi A3 Sportback has exceeded even the expectations of its makers - far more customers choose the four-door model with the large rear hatch than its three-door sibling.

But it is far more than two additional doors that sets the Audi A3 Sportback apart from the base model. It is characterized by the sporting elegance of a coupe, the versatility of a five-door model, sophisticated technology and pronounced sportiness - driving dynamics in a new guise.

MUGEN Honda Civic

World famous Japanese tuner Mugen, have prepared the Honda Civic Type-R Hatchback for launch in the European car tuning market. From the factory it comes with a four cylinder 2.0 liter i-VTEC engine producing 200 horsepower, however earlier speculation has it at 240 hp. The Euro-spec Honda Civic Type-R is equipped with a six-speed manual transmission, and like most other Honda cars it’s front wheel drive. Mugen has dramatically modified this Civic however, using carbon fiber pieces for the new aero kit. The aerodynamic kit for the Type R consists of a new front bumper, front lip, and blacked out grille. Moving down the side of the car are redesigned side skirts leading to the custom rear bumper, diffuser, and an aftermarket exhaust on the Honda Civic. A new hood with dual air vents and a raised mid-section was also installed. Complimenting the body kit are gunmetal alloy wheels on all fours, and they match the body work of the Mugen Honda Civic Type-R Hatchback.

In typical Mugen-fashion, the tuning firm has readied a rather aggressive bodykit for the futuristic-looking Euro-spec Civic Type-R 3d, which in standard form is powered by a 2.0-liter i-VTEC four-cylinder engine churning out 200HP to the front wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox.

The aero parts include a massive rear-wing, side skirts, twin hood scoops, a new rear apron with an integrated diffuser and two Jumbo-size tail-pipes, a blacked out Mugen grille, new front bumper with an integrated lip spoiler and wider fenders housing side air-vents plus gunmetal gray multispoke alloy wheels.

Mercedes-Benz SL 500

Mercedes-Benz and Ferrari tuners at INDEN-Design shows a new tuning kit for the Mercedes SL 500. Receiving a completely new body kit from the Mercedes SL 65 AMG, the SL 500 has a more sporty appearance. The car was hooked up with large custom chrome wheels measuring 20×10.5 in the front, and 20×11.75 in the rear wrapped in 255/30/20 and 305/25/20 high performance Pirelli tires. The stance of the car was important to INDEN-Design, so they installed a ABC-sport suspension kit that can lower the vehicle up to 50 mm. The new SL 65 AMG body kit on the Mercedes SL 500 really transforms the car with the new front spoiler, rear bumper, carbon fiber diffuser, side skirts, rear spoiler, and aftermarket rear lights.
